you can only win 2 of the matches. you cant win the one for the last gem. if you didnt win those two you can keep on resetting and trying until you win. personally i just like to kill him he is a demon after all

Why kill him? He is polite, honest and fun. By the way, try to get Emperor for the third round, you will still lose, but you gain a permanent benefit.

If you do not kill the Cambion, you will gain more Xp, and he will still return you your Vigil Stone, and the Gem to boot.

PS: Try pickpocketing him before you play the third round. ;)

Dundee, I thought that mind shield last only for a week(as Ive read from baldurdash)?? Mine just expires so its not really permanent throughout the game, but permanent throughout watcher's keep at least...

You do not always get the Mind Shield it seems. My Necromancer had +1 to his INT permanently. Which was pretty cool, because that gave him 19 INT and I used the ~~lala~~ to give Edwin 19 INT too.

Wow! I don't know that, now I do, thanks for the info..

I would go ahead and kill him after winning twice...that way you get the XP for fighting him and his cronies, and you get the deck of many things as well to mess around with and possibly give your characters a little boost here and there.
and the cambion's alignment is evil, after all...no remorse there

Dundee Slaytern 11-23-2001 01:55 AM

Dude, you get more Xp by not killing him, 20,000 Xp per party member to be exact, if you give him the Vigil Stone. You can also just pickpocket the Deck of Many Things, so you see, it pays not to kill him. ;)
