Im currently taking a character through BG1 and plan to take him all the way through ToB. My character is a male Elf mage and by the time I reach Sarevok I plan on having a party consisting of myself (obviously), Aerie, Imoen, Jaheira, Minsc and either Mazzy or Viconia. My question is, firstly is it worth getting Sarevok and secondly, if so who should I get rid of to make space.

You have a VERY long way to go before you have to make that decision. See how the game plays out and how the characters develop. Personally the first time through my evil PC just hated the bas##rd so much I didn't care how useful a character he was. I cast Contageon and Imprisonment on him and left him to rot!

Now my second time through I have a more forgiving PC and I will see what I do when the time comes, though a merciful swift death is a definate possibility.

If you're a good character, then Sarevok isn't for you. Minsc and the others will be pissed off and have fights. But Sarevok's stats are great.

I had Sarevok in a good party before when I was playing a Blade, I even converted him to Chaotic Good.

My other NPCs were... Anomen, Keldorn, Imoen and Jan.

You have a long way to go before that dicision but i would get rid of imoen because you dont have enough fighting classes hope this helps
