Neverwinter Nights, due out early next year. It will be using the Aurora engine, not the infinity engine (which Baldurs Gate uses). Welcome to the board. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Willy Wonka...
for however much it's worth, i think you should definitely go back and play the BG series again. chances are if you've played through it only once, there is a lot of stuff in the game that you still haven't encountered. you should make a completely new guy, and use all different NPC's from what you did before.
it's completely worth it.

I just might do that only because im dying with nothing to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could also take a different bunch of guys with me to finish game. Whats the difference in engines?

You're doubtless familiar with the Infinity Engine, which uses two dimensional sprites and backgrounds with a few three dimensional effects a la Baldur's Gate, right? Well, the Aurora engine is entirely 3D. Not sure if you've ever played Vampire: The Masquerade, but it is similar to that. However, it looks like they are doing some very interesting things, specifically with lighting effects and draw-distances. So I guess the main difference in engines is that Aurora looks a lot prettier. Obviously, the switch from 2D to 3D will necessitate some game play alterations too. There's a whole bucket load of images here, for your viewing pleasure. As you can see, it looks very pretty indeed. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif How the actual game mechanic will operate remains to be seen...

EDIT: If you want to discuss more, we have our very own Neverwinter Nights Forum. However, methinks it's gonna be a little dead in there until the game itself is released. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

I'm pretty sure I read on ign that there would be one last game using the infinity engine.. anyone else heard what this is going to be, or any info? Probably Icewind Dale 2 or something. I sure hope it is Planescape Torment 2 though.

Unconfirmed rumor is that it will be IWD 2.
