I posted a while ago that all my baldurs gate files had been erased including my saved game files. I haven't been able to finish bg2(I started from Bg1)again yet so I went straight to ToB which I just got recently. I found that my character was on level 16(a paladin), is he supposed to be one level lower or is there something wrong.

He should start no higher than what his level would be at 2.95m XP.

If you start ToB newly you get 2,500,00XP

just play the game dude don't worry about the experance points I've now started
TOB 8 times and finished 7 so far. try all the different rolls you can you will not believe all the different endings! Just have fun. Thats what it's all about anyway.
