I noticed that sometimes when you edit the game using Shadowkeeper, when you're in the Abyssal fortress you can't go through the portal gate. (The game blacks out, but doesn't go to the load area screen, but instead it returns to the same screen, but with no buttons or character icon's (The full screen).
It's rare but I wondered if there's still a patch that could fix that. I'm playing on Win2k (not WinMe). ------------------ You cannot escape the inevitable. |
There is a patch over at Interplay's site that fixes some of the problems associated with W2k. Are you sure that problem is occurring due to SK? Maybe it's just W2k, since W2k is not officially supported by ToB???
Here's the link for the patch if you're interested: http://www.bioware.com/bg2tob/bg2tobpatch.shtml ------------------ http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/MON18.gif Now where did I leave that doughnut?! |
I think it is supported and anyway I loaded the same but unedited game in the same place and it worked. (I had 5 edited (001,002,003,004,005) that didn't work, but the original one did).

Anyway I already installed that patch. It did fix the busy people thing and the crashing issues.

There may be a few other little things that make this occur if changed in ShadowKeeper, but I don't know. ------------------ trux |
I edited the experience of my characters, so I guess I shouldn't have done that while in the pocket plane.

This happened to me too. I believe it only happens if you do an edit to a game saved in the pocket plane. Go back to Faerun, save, and do your edits and you should be ok.

Seid, just be aware that anything can happen if you edit your game to do something that the designers didn't originally intend. 99% of the time you won't have a conflict, but for that 1% when you do something that the game doesn't like, you shouldn't be surprised if it crashes.
I'm pretty sure that the Bioware QA guys didn't factor in Shadowkeeper save games in their bugtesting. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif ------------------ http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memnoch/memnochsig.gif |
