How the heck do you get to the Bandit Camp zone?
|
Go to Freindly Arm Inn area then go directly east. That should bring up the Bandit Camp on your map screen.

. . You might need to see the fulla upstairs at Feldeposts (Beregost) first |
I've talked with both the people in that inn. Then tried to go east from the Friendly Armed Inn. It doesn't take me to the bandit camp zone, it takes me to Pellvale. What gives?

Did you talk to the mage upstairs in Feldepost's Inn? The one called Tranzig? You're supposed to fight him, kill him, and obtain the maps he carries. This updates your world map and gives you access to the bandit camp.

Spoilers:
. . . . . . . . . . . After reading the letters in Mulahey's chest in the Nashkel mines, visit Tranzig at the second level of FAI. As Arledrian said, after speaking/fighting with Tranzig the bandit camp map will appear on the world map. When you returned to Beregost after clearing the Nashkel mines you should have another encounter with the red robed, pointy hatted figure whom you encountered on the crossroads of the Lion's Way and the Trade Way just out of Candlekeep. He advises you to head to the forests of Larswood and Pelvdale and investigate the bandit raids that have been occuring there. Mulahey's letters and your encounter with Tranzig have also also pointed you in that direction. In addition, upon returning to Beregost just after completing the Nashkel mines quest a little girl will also find you and tell you to seek out officer Vai at the Jovial Juggler. Vai will also point you in the direction of the bandits in Larswood and Pelvdale. I would recommend going to Larswood first, then explore Pelvdale. You can reach Pelvdale from the northern edge of Larswood. Although the Sword Coast is an extremely dangerous place (and those two forests are in particular), do talk to everyone that is blue circled (neutral). That should be a rule of thumb by now anyway, as you never know what great quests might become available from anyone out there, or good fights might ensue, etc. Make your highest charisma characater the leader and have that one do the talking. And always quicksave before any such encounter, of course. [ 01-29-2002: Message edited by: Lemernis ]</p> |
