Ok, I've just killed Kiser and rescued Ardic. While exploring Kiser's basement, I found two switches that when I "disarmed" them, both said that I heard the muffled sounds of gears moving. But I can't find any changes in the basement or upstairs.

What are these switches supposed to do? Am I missing one or two still? I've walked everywhere looking for traps and can't find any more or any hidden doors.

I think that once you rescue Ardic you should be ok. I didn't find anything either. I could be wrong, though.

I disarmed and triggered the switches first, and I did not need the key from Kiser's remains. Maybe that's all it was.
