Hi there all you happy guys who have it.

I'd like to know- what sort of new thief abilities there are?
There was something posted awhile back about Alchemy? That got me interested as I used to run a Thief with Alchemy skill back in UO. What does it do? Can Assassins use it?

Well, Alchemy lets your thief create a random potion 1/day. There are about 8 or so different potions they can make.
Its not a great skill, you get TONS of potions in the game, so you probably will never use this skill, there are alot better skills a thief can learn.

Scribe is another, lets you make scrolls, about as useful as the alchemy skill. Personally I wouldn't even consider picking these 2 as skills you can spend your choices better.

Use any item. Best skill ever for a thief. They can literally use any item. I have tried wands, Carsomyr, Plate Mail, etc. The only thing I haven't tried was to cast spells from scrolls.

can cast from scrolls, my assassin has a familliar!

one thing i noticed, my assassin's backstab has gone from 7x to 5x ! doh! some kind of bug? anyone notice that?

I was pumped about the use any item ability, and needless to say, it was the first ability i picked when I got the chance. Unfortunately for me, my intelligence is low, and I cannot use wandshttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif. I could maybe use scrolls, that's definitely something I would like to check out.
