I am really dissapointed with the spells, First of all, there isn't much variaty (SP) between them, Comet and Dragons Breath are the SAME thing! The improved alactricity takes to long to cast and gets interrupted, Electric Blades (or whatever its called) Isnt that bad, and they added two fist spells that do the same thing. Didn't they say they added over 100 new spells? I count like 20... The priest ones are accually kinda cool though, Implosion does alot of damage and the Storm of Vengance is one of the few non fire damage spells (WHY oh WHY is everything fire? They really should of added more choices...) Also, the graphics on spell casting wasnt as cool as I hoped (How come we still wave our hands around and throw little balls that turn into huge circles around the area? Why cant we do stuff like Irenicus? I mean we are the Children of a God...) Im not saying its a bad game, because it isnt. I just this they could of made spells so much better....

First of all, Dragons breath is infinately more effective than comet in my opinion...
Second of all, abilities were mainly done for the fighting classes... THOSE are superb... the new quest level spells aren't fantastic. I would give up all the quest spells for a "Remove all of enemy spellcasters magical protections for more than 1 second" spell. I feel like half my spellslots are pierce/break/ruby ray... now THAT is something that gets annoying.

Summon a Deva yet? They are great mobile field hospitals with their remove lines of spells.
Can't think of any other quest level spells I've been impressed with yet though... I agree, its a letdown.

And with the graphical effects... magic missiles look worse now than they did in BG1!

The "Greater Elemental Summoning" that druids get rocks, as does thier Elemental
Shapeshift.

Gotta love Greater Whirlwind though.

GW + Archer = instant death.

Heh... I love Dragon Breath, try to have several high level mage cast them at the same time, I definitely think it is better than Comet.

Yes but don't you find the effects unpleasing? All it is, is a fireball that knocks things back. They could of atleast added new effect graphics (Storm of Vengance has a neat one). DB and Comet have the same animation bascially. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

I've had the opportunity to try out Dragon's Breath, and it does rock! So far, I haven't come across anything that isn't affected by it.
