Just curious. What quests are just too risky to attempt in a game where you won't allow yourself a reload?

What quests will you not do without a certain amount of equipment?

Without a reload?

Hmmm, there's an awful lot of quests where it is possible to die. Too hard to answer me thinks.

i don't know about too risky but i guess the ones you can't run away from

planar prison
maevar's guild hall with tactics
twisted rune
. . . . ?

bad baddies (beholders, mind flayers, many tactics enemies . . .)

Harkoliar 09-23-2006 01:30 PM

any where there are lich or dragons involved.. then again you wont be able to get the nice items

oh yeah.. those Rune dudes as well

Almost all quests can be done without reloads.
If its no cheese, then wait to do De'Arnise.

No cheese, no mods making things tougher... just a straight game where I refuse to reload.

BTW, I plan on adding Imoen, so while I won't rush to Spellhold, I'd like to leave some quests for her to get involved in.

The 2 beholder areas can be very tough (the one in unsseing eye and the one in underdark), unless you decide to use the shield.

ZFR, I'll use anything available in the core game!

Harkoliar 09-24-2006 09:56 AM

no reloads means cheese needed.. i mean. no reloads is tough enough already!

I never use the shield and I find these areas quite easy
