Well, to start off, I'm a lord of the rings fan. I'm also an elves fan in BG II. Well, I thought to myself, 'Could I combine the two? Add the cosmetics of the LotR elves (from the movies) to the BG II elves?
I came to the conclusion that the armour is wayyy too much effort, even if it was pssible. So, while browsing through the swords, I saw the scimitar and the katana in a different light. It kind of looks like the two-handed 3rd age elf sword. That lead me to thinking about making a scimitar look the same, but keep it two handed, to go with the lotr theme. Could I do that? Is it possible to take a one-handed item and make it two handed with some item editor such as DLTCEP? Really, the question is, well, here's the deal: Take a two handed weapon and equip it. Most likely a two-handed sword. I want the scimitar/katana to take it's place. Making the character weild the katana/scimitar with two hands. [ 08-04-2006, 06:40 PM: Message edited by: Kyrvias ] |
Problem is, you can make the item take up the two hand "slots", but the animations will still be one handed. AFAIK, there has yet to be a set of actual custom animations for the game.

Drat. Ah well.

You could check if any of the IWD or Planescape animations have what you're looking for. I don't personally know how, but I know that there has been some success in moving animations across IE games.
