Just wondering if I'm the only one. I just find them dull, and I want to have a fantasy roleplaying adventure, no romancing.
I guess I just kinda want to recreat the days of being a kid and playing D&D with some friends. |
Yeah, the usua D&D romances around the table were much more exciting :D

I don't mind them, It's simply an option in the game. They can be terminated quickly if you don't like them. Just like any other concept of the game, NPC's for example... if you don't like them... Just Terminate them :D :D :D

Since the romances are perfectly optional and ignored or prevented, there shouldn't be a problem. But personally I think the more meaningful interaction between party members, the more immersive roleplaying wise the game can seem to be.
Admittedly I never knew they were possible until I joined IW, which subsequently led my following character into the arms of Viconia. There was something quite mesmerising about the intermingling of the dialogue with her romance theme, I think it all added a deeper dimension to the game that I quite liked, to be honest. Can't say I've tried any of the others however! (That includes Jaheira and playing a female character to suffer the courtship of AnnoyMan.) Each to one's own though, of course. P.S: Nice one, WP. No time to read it all now though! |
