Full install of BGI, then patched - check

(no TotSC for me, unfortunatly)

Install of BG2+ToB then patched - check

Download bgtutu_v4.exe - check

Extract into BGII folder - NO

Extracting BG1Tutu_Readme.htm

CRC failed in bg1tutu_restore.exe
Unexpected end of archive


It tells me to download a fresh copy, what have I done wrong?

That just sounds like a corrupted download to me. Unexpected end of archive usually means there's a bit missing.

Did you check the md5 sum of the file (if one is offered) to see if its complete before you ran it?

If the .exe part is simply a self-extracting archive then you could try opening it in a decent zip programme like 7-Zip - it's often much more error tolerant than the built in zip programme in Windows.

But yeah, best bet is to just redownload.

Still advice EasyTutu for easy install, or else there is a higher version of the normal tutu out there I believe

happened to me. open file from location, not download to disc, then run. dunno what it did, but worked for me. hope you are as fortunate

Right I done it. Installed BG+patch+BG2+ToB+Patch+BG2Mods+TuTu+TuTuFix

Now, the readme says:

16) Play BG1Tutu by running “bgmain.exe” in your BG2 folder. It may prompt you for your BG2 C

*runs bgmain.exe*
*loads BG2*
*clicks Shadows of Amn*
*creates character*
*error*

First off, is it supposed to start just like BGII, or have I done something wrong *again*?

[Edit] As soon as I click Accept after creating my character the screen goes black, then reverts to my desktop with a large black square blocking out the top left quarter.

Then I CTRL+ALT+DEL, end task, goes black, everything is back to normal with no BG up.

As far as I know you shouldn't have mods installed. You have:

Whereas it should be (to my knowledge)

BG+patch+BG2+ToB+Patch+TuTu+TuTuFix

For BG2mods are made for BG2 not for TuTu and makes the engine flip its wink as I believe is the expression.
