just wondering, for 2 reasons.

1) you're more powerful if you import a guy you went through BG1 with, and I want to know if it's worth it.

2)I've never played BG1 with a mage, and it might be cool.

Yes. When you import the character you can make him/her a wild mage. It's very fun!
