... Or so I think. I was getting a bit anxious to see the next lovetalk and used the CLUA code to make it appear. After a few hours play, Anomen's a knight now, the cluaconsole doesn't force a new dialog to appear. The next talk is just a regular talk that needs no triggers or people...
I checked wether the romance was active, and it was. I checked the state of the romance, and it was 2 - the romance lives. But when I check the variable for his talks, it's 37 = there are only 36 talks, as far as I know... :(

Could you try setting that variable back to 33 or something and see what happens?

timothy trotter 01-06-2006 02:34 AM

rest heaps, after time the next talk comes up, if you fest for around 25 days game time (possibly a bit durastic) and then walk about for a while, you should get the next lovetalk, if not, you could be galloping up diarhoia drive without a saddle

I've tried resetting it, but the variable still appeared as 37... So I'm going to wait for something to happen. I've still got time.

Use Shadowkeeper to fix this. You can copy a variable from an old saved game. With shadowkeeper you can easily reset romances to earlier stages or make them restart completely.

Make sure you have (In "Global Variables")
ANOMENMATCH set to 1 (Add it if it is missing)
ANOMENROMANCEACTIVE set to 1 (Add it if it is missing)
ANOMENROMANCE set to some large number (If all settings are there as above, try deleting this one and load the game)

This should work, I've done it zillions of times with other romances as well.

Don't use cluaconsole, that's such a workout trying to get things to work. Shadowkeeper helps you out in all your needs.

If you're in need of waiting then go to the copper corronet and sleep a couple times in a row, the romance probably won't start inside since it's partially a dungeon, but once you set foot outside it should activate within a couple of seconds.

I've got a Mac... sadly, I can't use Shadowkeeper.

Sir Goulum 01-06-2006 02:31 PM

I did a quick search and I couldn't find any shadowkeeper-like programs for mac. Try loading a previous save game and work from there, if it's not too far back, or you could try and fix it through CLUA but it is a bit of a hassle.

Is the file the same? maybe you could send me your save game... or am I too much of a mac-nono to not understand those things to not work together.

Jelboo 01-07-2006 08:42 AM

That's the problem, I don't have an old save game... Everything seems to be wrong, no? No matter. It was near the end anyway, the romance.
