OK, it's been a while since I played BGI, but I was wondering if anyone ever found a reason for stopping that guy from jummping off the cliffs right at the start of the game?!?!
|
Aside from the fact that it's the right thing to do, I thought the first time through the game it might earn me some rep. Turns out to be an act of pure altruism.

I just told him that the game's designers didn't implement things like changes in altitude, so his plan wouldn't work, and he was so discouraged at not even being able to jump to his death that he had a coronary and died right there. And he wasn't even carrying anything good. Oh well, at least I didn't lose Rep.

I never found a reason NOT to let him jump. The way I looked at it, was that if he really wanted to do it, he would have done it no matter what I said.
