In BG there is exp. cap (89000 exps). When i use a patch which enables to gain further exps, will be my Mage able to cast higher level spells? I mean if it is able to cast 7-8-9 level spells in BG1, when the exp. cap is removed? Or there will be only more lover level spells even when my Mage will have 10th or higher level?

The 6+ level mage spells haven't been implemented in the game, so you'll only be able to cast more lower level ones.

If you want to cast more powerful spells, then obviously you should play BG2: SoA.

Tales of the Sword Coast removes the cap. I didn't install it until my son had beaten BG. When I saw what it did, I installed it and have started playing BG from the beginning. In my opinion, BG+TSC plays better than BG alone, not only because of the removal of the cap, but (a) items automatically "stack" (i.e. if you have 5 arrows and pick up 5 more, you'll have one bunch of 10 arrows instead of two bunches of 5) and (b) unidentified items show up with a bluish background in your inventory. You also get two additional areas to explore (which I'd leave until you finish Chapter 6).

Yes, in BG1 you can cast up to level 9 mage spells, level 7 cleric spells, and level 6 druid spells if you download an unofficial expansion called "Dark Side of the Sword Coast." This expansion allows you to reach as high a level as you could possibly go (up to level 50 but I can't imagine there are enough things to do in the game by which you could reach anywhere near that high of a level). The new spells it adds are great--they really breath a whole new life into BG1. Take a look:

I heard that people had a lot of troble playing this datadisc. Can you write if you too experienced any kind of trouble?

It is possible top buy a DS disk but you can download it for free at www.dsotsc.com. They have a forum if you have questions. It is a little buggy, yes.
