I know installing ToB gives you the nice 'tabkey shows all clickables on the map' feature, but since my ToB disc is thrashed (as mentioned in one of my otehr posts), is there a mod that gives this feature (thought it'd be in ease-of-use, but meh)? =P

I know it's cheesy, but I've re-installed and played through the main game so many times (still need to beat ToB though >_>), so meh. (btw, didn't ToB give characters level 18+ some neat abilities, iirc?)

(also, I searched and searched for this mod, but can't seem to find anything on it, or I wouldn't be posting asking about it =P)

thanks

I don't think it's cheesy really - it's about the same as the "taking a 20" rule for searching. I know some people like not having tab but I love it and am not ashamed ;)

Indeed characters do get High Level Abilities (HLA's) when gaining higher levels though it is actually determined by the amount of experience they have not there level. That exp amount escapes me however, Six of Spades?

Not to my knowledge. Sorry! (I would be glad to be proved wrong, though!)

The TAB feature is indeed unique to those who have ToB installed, or at least I've certainly never heard otherwise, nor have I heard of a "ToB rules in an SOA-only game" mod. Personally, I wish Tab only highlighted those items that are just sitting on the floor, rather than showing containers....hidden caches should only be visible to a Thief or Monk who is Detecting Traps.

High-Level Abilities are gained at every Level Up after a character exceeds 2,950,000 EXP in all classes that are currently gaining experience.

The Tab key is hardcoded into ToB.

Hey "SixOfSpades", it's rah, took a few months off from BG, stopped after exiting the Underdark. Dunno if it was a glitch but, computer started acting weird and having graphics glitches after I exited the Underdark (couldn't recreate it on prior save spots, just after exiting Underdark...hmmm) Plan on diving back in soon.

Anyways, the tab feature has'nt become an issue with me since I don't use it often, and if by chance I did happen to use it and it uncovered a hidden article, well, that would just sux! Fingers xx that doesn't happen.

I agree. There is no point in hiding items in those little hidden contains throughout the game now (like in walls and all that). In BG1, there are a few valuable items hidden in the fields, and you can't find them with a tab-key (or does tutu change this?). Then again, one of the only ways to find these items is to look up the location online since it's so unlikely fo run your mouse of the 1 coordinate that the item is hidden at.
