I am on Chapter 3 and I need to find a bag of Holding so I can put Valygar in so I can get Ring2 of the Ram and still have his body to get into the Planar Sphere afterwards to get the third and last piece of the ring.
So where can I purchase a bag of holding ???

Lord 09-25-2005 04:58 PM

you can't buy one. you can only find one later on in the game.

So the guide by Dan Simpson must be wrong then as it says to use one early on in game Thanks Anyway

Sir Goulum 09-25-2005 07:23 PM

Yep, the first one can be found in Chapter 4.

White Lancer 09-25-2005 10:54 PM

First one? dont you mean the ONLY one?

Sir Goulum 09-25-2005 11:19 PM

First off: The Ring of the Ram is not in three pieces which merge together into a single super-cool ring when you collect all the components. They're just 3 copies of the same magical item.

Second: That walkthrough you're using, that's essentially playing the game for you? Throw it away. Burn it. Play your own damn game, it means nothing if you beat a game because some stupid guide told you exactly when to sneeze. Play the game on your own terms, and find your own tricks. For example, I know how to get all 3 Rings of the Ram and still keep Valygar in my party, but I'll never reveal it because the only tricks that are worthwhile are the ones that you discovered yourself. (And I'll never use that trick again, because it's so damn cheesy--almost as cheesy as using the "item in container" exploit.)

Third: WELCOME TO IRONWORKS!!!

i'm curious. what the heck is that exploit? i never discovered anything i could call an "item in container exploit" in all my playthrus. nothin' out of the ordinary happens to me when i store something in a container. except i lose it if i'm in an area that respawns.

thanks for quenching my curiousity.

Right, here we go.

~~~~ ~~~~
You put your items in.
You take your items out.
Now they're fully charged,
So use them without a doubt.
You use a cheesy exploit,
To gain a crazy boon
That's what it's all about!
:facepalms: :rolleyes:
Actually, I was referring to the way that sometimes, when something happens that is supposed to remove an item from your inventory, the game will look in each character's backpack, but not as far as any containers they may be carrying. For example, when you're clearing the Temple Ruins, the Sun Gems disappear without a trace when you use them to dispel their respective "walls of shadow," .... but if they're in your Bag of Holding when you use them, you can keep them for as long as you want. (Although they're not good for anything.)
