Just Had my first level up with Yoshimo and picked dual class.
I was under the impression he just would'nt advance any more as a thief/Bounty Hunter'but as a fighter'but still have his thief abilities up to the point he changed. But he seems to have lost all his thief abilities. And as Imoen's just been taken by the cowled Wizards i have nobody who can open locks or check for Traps. Anyway round this? Thanx |
Unless you want to cheat, no. But there are other NPC's capable of opening locks and/or checking for traps.
You don't have an earlier save? |
Yes: You can either wait for Yoshimo's Thief half to re-activate, or Reload to your last Save before you Dual-classed him, or start looking around for another Thief.

. . . . . . . . . . . . I've heard of players dualing Yoshimo before they get to Spellhold to deliberately nerf him. |
Domino, dual class means yoshi won't get thieving skills (or any other aspect of the class) back untill he is 1 level higher as a fighter than he is as a thief. ie if you dual him at level 7 thief, he will be a fighter until he reaches level 8, at which point the thieving abilities will return. There is no way round this, this is what dual classing does, it's a long term thing. Yoshimo is not a long term character, as the above spoiler suggests, so I suggest going to a previous save and using him as a thief or dumping him for jan (government district).
Oh and dual classing can be done anytimme, not just at level up time. |
