I got the Nether scroll and all for Edwin, but he doesn't seem to be undergoing his transformation. I got it before going off to Spellhold, and now that I've gotten back, done D'arnise, the Unseeing Eye and partway through the Planar Sphere, he still hasn't changed. What triggers it? Or is this some bug? Thanks!

Dragonshadow 08-01-2005 03:56 PM

I thought it was timed.

Sir Goulum 08-01-2005 04:06 PM

Well, I've been waiting quite a while... at least 50 days game time.

Dragonshadow 08-01-2005 04:15 PM

Sounds like a bug then. You could see if there is a way to use teh CLUA console or soemthing to trigger it?

Lord 08-01-2005 04:29 PM

it's a bug then. I had the nether scrolls before going off for Imoen, and the moment I came back from the underdark, he transformed (in the middle of the convo with Elhan ). Are you patched?

Sir Goulum 08-01-2005 04:43 PM

Yes I am, completely patched. Do you know what I put in to start it up? Or could I just change something in Shadowkeeper?

Lord 08-03-2005 03:17 AM

look for something in SK. I'm not sure what variable it is, but under global variables, look for something along the lines of Edwin Transformation or something to do with edwin and the nether scrolls. If the value is 0, you should probably change it to 1. If it's already 1, then it probably either needs to be changed to 0 or 2. I'm not really sure, so you may want to play around with it a little bit.

its timed real time and not game time. try leaving the game overnight paused. might solve the problem.

Sir Goulum 08-03-2005 09:26 PM

Hmm... does Baldurs Gate have to be 'open'? I mean, can it just be minimized or something, or does it have to be active?

Illumina Drathiran'ar 08-03-2005 11:46 PM

Best to keep it active... Mute it and turn off the monitor, no worries.
