Anyone know if it's mentioned anywhere in the game about Keldorn and when he became a Paladin? Or why?
|
If it's not on his bio I don't think it is. I know Ajantis (from BG1) mentioned him, and he is a veteran of the Order (in fact the oldest living member IIRC)
I would surmise that as a noble family he was apprenticed to the church (Torm I think is his diety), and there developed his fervor (and kit) for doing good for goodness sake. Being of noble lineage, becoming clergy was not an option (Anomen became clergy as a way to get around his lack of a noble title), and so the most logical choice for him, was paladinhood. (drawing from what I know of paladins and their training, and the info given in BG2 which isn't muc) |
Well, technically Anomen is of noble lineage. It's just the reason why he is a Cleric is because his father never sponsered him for the Order of the Radiant Ass---err---Heart. :D
|
IIRC his father lacked the money, and inclination to sponsor him, although you are right, he could never rise above the rank of squire if he wasn't of noble birth.
|
Well it's possible he could have. However, a noble title helps greatly. IMO.

Well...for Keldorn, I'd say (judging from the various info on him) as long as he became an adult.
And...it it just me or does Anomen seem to talk about righteousness so he can actually show it off? Or am I being excessively cynical on him? |
Most fanatics are like that. Struck the last part, preaching is talking.

I think there's someone at the Radiant Heart who talks about Keldorn's career. Not sure though. |
I was mostly looking for specifics, but I made up a story instead... sort of.
