my cleric/ranger is dual wielding the FoA and DoE.

I Have all of the components for the big hammer but is it worth it?

Should i make Crom Faeyr and use it instead of the DoE or should i continue wearing the belt of frost giant strength?

Are you solo or in a party?

You can get high STR with DUHM and Righteous Magic.
Crom is only very useful against Golems, otherwise you can use DUHM and RM and hit with FOA which is a better weapon...

It's the c/r, a kensai->thief and imoen for the time beeing, I think that big S will join us in ToB.

I can buff, that's true but my question was really more of a DoE vs Crom one. You're right though, I might as well memorize DUHM.

I think I'll go buy the girdle of hill giant strength and assemble crom just for the fun of it anyways.

It's fun to assemble the hammer, but in a party with more than one weak character, it's sometimes more economical to have the belt and gloves available to your characters. Immy might be able to use a boost in Strength, so what you should do might depend on the Strength of your other characters, and your dual-wielder's proficiency points.

Go ahead and assemble it. There are more than enough strength items in the game other than those required for Crom to give a full six man party supernatural strength, so your small party shouldn't suffer for it.

You sure about that? I thought there were only 4 items, if you assemble Crom Faeyr.

Crom, three belts, one sword, that's, uhh...

Oh hell, well chances are at least one person in a six player party can do without high strength.

Also there is a mace sold in the Copper Coronet which sets strength to 18... Mauler's Arm +2. Funily enough, it gives +2 to hit and +3 to damage.

Thats the only weapon i can think of off the top of my head, but im sure there are others... (other than Crom obviously)

The Harmonium Halberd (from Deidre in the Adventurer's Mart) gives +1 STR.

Does high strength grant any bonuses to throwing knives? My kensai->thief is wielding firetooth.
