1.I wonder what class kit Imoen would have taken if she didn't dual.
2.I wonder what would happen to boo if Minsc MIRACULOUSLY managed to get his head "restored" (Well, no one wants to see that happenin' :D )
3.Jan the genius? Or psycho? Or both?
4.If he hated mages and magic so much why didn't Valygar train himself to be a Wizardslayer?
5.If Imoen is your sis, shouldn't she disintegrate into dust like you do when you die!?!?

THis post is just about "what if"s.
Just post Q's about what would you have liked, what if this happened stuff (Yeah, I know, it's been ages Bhaalspawn saga finished back in 01/02 :D ) etc.

Enjoy.

1) She would have either stayed pure class or become an adventurer. Her chirpy optimism and sense of adventure would see to that.
2) Nothing wrong with his head, Boo would still love Minsc even if his hair did grow back ;)
3) Definately a genius, his cleverly crafted dialogues with the other NPCs demonstrate that beyond doubt. Its common knowledge that many geniuses can seem eccentric to 'normal' people - you just don't understand him!
4. Because he grew up in and around the woodlands of the Umar Hills and he was a ranger at heart. Never mind any powergamer Wizard Slayer nonsense!
5. Yes, its certainly inconsistent. However, the disintegration of the main character is done more for storyline reasons than for anything else (e.g. Your main character dies at L1 in Candlekeep and your party takes him all the way to the final battle...).

What if...

Turnips were worth their weight in gold to everyone and not just Jan?

Sir Goulum 03-15-2005 09:49 PM

Jan's family wouldn't have to live in the slums; De'Arnise Keep would be renamed De'Arnise Turnip; Trademeet would worship the Turnip gods.

What if...

Boo's friends from space came to rescue him?

The forgotten realms will proclaim that day as "The day of space hamsters".

What if the council of six were revealed?

Marty4 03-16-2005 05:58 AM

The game would be a LOT shorter.

Why does Edwin have more intelligence than Jan?

Why does Anomen constantly threaten to have someone "feel his blade"?

Link 03-16-2005 06:03 AM

Well you could turn the "Imoen going to dust" around as well. Why can't you resurrect CHARNAME?

As for some other discontinuities: what is the connection between Sendai in Baldur's Gate 1 and Sendai in Throne of Bhaal? On that same line: why is there a Wanev in Neverwinter Nights and one in the Asylum in Shadows of Amn?

If Bodhi's vampires take care of the thieves so easily as we are lead to believe [in the cutscenes], why doesn't she take them out for good?

What happened to flying dragons?

If Suldanesselar is such a hidden city, how come we find it so easily? And are all trees so big in the Forest of Tethyr that the Tree of Life fails to stand out in the crowd?

If the Sahuagin are such a bloodthirsty race, and their prophecy speaks only of "a surfacer who will come to their rescue", why don't they just kill the rest of your party in honour of might Sekolah, the Shark-Father?

If the Drow are truly planning an assault on the surface elves, then why are there so little of them? Ust Natha is not really a crowded place.

Can someone explain to me why the Amnish soldiers can disappear into any given home (even if it's inhabited by hostile creatures) after they've told you to "not sleep on the streets"?

I've spent over a year in Athkatla, but to my knowledge, there's no such thing as winter in the city (or even outside). Following this notion, the city should be ideal for traders: no harsh weather means low risk of sunken ships. But why is Waukeen's Promenade so empty then?

And WHY can't they clean up the mess of the explosion? Even after being gone for over 50 days, the rubble is still not repaired.

i must admit that reading the descriptions of the alkathla power groups in the manual i did anticipate that i'd have to get involved in all sorts of intriguing city politics - ah well

The manual explains some vital information about Suldanesselar as well. It happily states that Suldanesselar is located in the Forests of Tethyr.

"Now where did I need to go again? The North Forest?"

One Question lingering in my head...

"who the hell is uncle scratchy, gnome?"

Watch out for griffons!

I've always wondered why Imoen looks bald when looking at her sprite.

I also don't understand why you can't wear the pantaloons. Come on, they are gold/silver/bronze!

Explain the logic that someone swinging a quarterstaff can actually miss consistently. Or how you make 'fake' attacks for aesthetic purposes. Maybe its just me, but I would rather swing my mace once per round if I had only one apr. I could see that you only have one attack per round because you are busy trying to get a good grip on the weapon, find a spot to strike your opponent, all the while trying to dodge the opponen't blows.
