Out of curiosity, what is the lowest level that you have defeated a dragon? I recently beat the shadow dragon with my motley crew of lvl 9 characters (lvl 8/8 Aerie and 8/9-10 Jan). I'm sure that some of you can go straight form chateau Irenicus to Firkraag ;) , but I wonder just how low can you go?

With a little luck and some good scrolls a level 1 party can potentaly kill a dragon..


It's one of the great things about rolling dice, once in a blue moon with pink spots you'll get a stunning set of roll's that make even the hardest fight's a doddle..


With the right gear you can kill pretty much most things at level 1, though some are much much harder, liches are pretty hard at low levels..

I once played though the entirity of BG1 without leveling up, I've done the same with BG2, but by that time your already a "high" level..

So the question is not how low a level you can kill a dragon, it's how low can you kill a dragon without reloading? (about level 10~ish)

Hmm, I'd suggest a solo mage could defeat Firkraag at level one provided he has a shedload of scrolls and wands available.

Realistically, any low level party could defeat a dragon with the correct spells and abilities, I would suggest a party circa level 10 would be far more usual coming out of Irenicus' dungeon and could take down dragons without too many problems.

Yeah, that's about right Dace IMO. My (weak) party was about level 10 but managed to take down Firkraag and the Shadow Dragon without a reload. Close though! That was with tactics installed as well. Thank the lord for MMM ;)
