Hello all,

i'va just started a new bg2 game with an assassin, and i've imported my character with the mod that allows all bg1 items to be imported in bg2.

first it was great, since i began in Irenicus dungeon with my shadow armor, my dagger of venon, the cloak of balduran and the boots of speed, the short sword of backstabbing, the golden girdle, a ring of fire resist, a shield amulet, and a short bow +2.

but, i quickly realised that some items awere missing in the game !!!! aarrrggghhh !!!! NO helm of balduran in irenicus room, NO chain mail +2 on illych !!!

did that problem already occured for anyone of you guys ??? Should i pursue my game (and perhaps never find in it some powerfull items normally found), or should i re'install the whole thing without the mod (and thus without my BG1 items )???

I suspect the mod is trying to balance things out.

But, you dont need that mod. Hit pause as soon as the game starts - and I mean as soon as it starts, before the screen fades in for the scene with irencius - and you will be able to access your inventory and the script that takes your stuff hasnt run yet. So, drop iton the floor, and the script wont see it, and you can pick it up again afterwards.

You'l likely find the same items and some better ones in the dungeon. Don't worry, the beggining is easy and after that good loot falls from the sky pretty much.

I removed the mod and tried what you said. Hehe, it worked well without the mod, and i kept all my items...
