i have decided i want to remove my lead charicter. i am in a multiplayer game, and have two other generated charicters. is it possible to remove the lead charicter? i want to make a new character, that can dual class, although he will be behind in XP, is there a mod to change my players xp, so that he would have the same ammount as the other members of my party?

You could use either the CLUAConsole commands, select the char, and SetCurrentXP, to the desired amount, or you can get Shadow Keeper. I don't remember where to send you, but if you perform a search on the forums, I'm quite sure it will come up.

You cannot remove your main character, but you can alter him if you want to change his class, race, look, portrait, gender etc.

You can download Shadowkeeper (a program which allows you to do this) Here

Install it, and it will ask you to locate a file. IIRC it should be in the Baldurs Gate 2 directory.

Then, when you've loaded ShadowKeeper, click File and Open Saved Game.

Pick your saved game and click ok.

Under abilities you can alter the experience of a person in your party.

Under characteristics you can change the Gender, Race, Alignment, Kit, Class, etc.

Under appearance you can change how your character looks.

You get the choice of Fighter <gender> <race>, Mage <gender> <race>, Thief <gender> <race>, or Cleric <gender> <race>.

Pick, if you were a Paladin for example, Fighter Male Human.

You can set the players XP to the same on Shadowkeeper under the Abilities tab.

[Edit] Robertthebard beat me to it, but my help had pictures [/Edit]

what does the 'low' mean at the end of those descriptions?

Kestrel Daystar 12-30-2004 09:34 AM

I have always wondered that too. Does it alter the appearance?

<font color = lightgreen>A "female human thief" would a female thief standing around normally. A "female human thief low" would be a female thief who is crouching. That is the difference. </font>

I will point out since certain people have ignored the fact he stated plainly that he's in a multiplayer game..

So yes you can change your main char, click the button just above the rest icon, it should look like a computer I think, it's the one that brings up the screen with all the char's show, where you can assign who in your multi player game who has control of what chars..

just take the tick off your main char then click him name and delete I think is the one to press, make sure he dones not have any plot items on him as they will all be destroyed (possibly making the game unwinnable)

You'll now have a blank slot to put a main char into, I'd suggest using shadowkeeper to set his XP to the same as the party and alter any bhaalspawn ablitys that should not be there, or should be there as the case my be.
