Well the Pantaloon Trilogy continues and I have made it back to BG2 SOA. And I have slightly changed my PC from a Mage to a Wild Mage (an action I may not live to regret and thank Sune I saved my old File incase I want to start over). But enough of these facts, where is the stupid summoning key??!!
I found all the others easy, magic Missile, Fire, Cold, Lightening, Cloud Kill, but I don't have the summoning key. I have even back pedaled to the first level and still am stumped. I can't walk around the trap and I am almost temped to have Minsc Tank through and trip it. Anything is better then standing there. |
<span style="color: lightblue">Check every container in every room. Near the wands and the corridor out, there is another corridor going the same way, with a guy in locked room. I seem to remember one of the keys being in that area somewhere. I could be veery wrong about this however, since I haven't played through Chateau Irenicus in quite a while.

nope, that's a key for his room, you get all the key's before you reach the wands area..
Now. *Spoiler alert* *if *you *don't *want *to *see *look *away *now The escaped clone has one, the funny ogatu(however it's spelt) has one in the first level also, so if you didn't kill it you can't dissable one of the wands (I think it's monster summoning) all the other wands are in containers so get looking. |
That would be an Otyugh And it's no problem going back for the wand. The portal key enables you to travel back to the first level of the prison.

see the diffrence? |
The wand keys are a terrible way of preventing people from leaving. All you simply have to do is move along the way on either side of the room and you can avoid the traps. The traps should be widened out so that you can't skip the traps like this.

Some of the traps you can waltz around but a couple you can't, like the one in question. Also, they don't prevent you from leaving, they just prevent you from wiping out Irenicus's Duegar group to the last Dwarf and perhaps meeting your first Vamp. You can hang a right when you reach the hall and walk out.
By the way I found the summoning Key. It wasn't in a chest, or a monster or on a person; it was hidden in plain sight (if I say where its a full spoiler). By the way, I tried killing the jailer golem to see if he had it. Hit him with a +2 sword twice and nothing happened. I guess no matter what he isn't supposed to die. Well, I'm off to the circus. |
It's not impossible to kill Ulvaryl (that's her name). You even get 8000 XP for doing so.

When I figured that out, Link, it was a small part of the game I make sure I do every time.
It just stinks when she level drains you. |
