Went to the Copper Coronet and had Nalia join my party and she updated my map. So I decided to tackle her quest before engaging the Slaver quest. Sure enough the map was updated but when I went out the city gates the image of the estate remained gray which means I couldn't access it. Yet Trademeet was accessible. So...
1. Went to Trademeet, got caught up in the intrigues there and Nalia thought I was taking too long and continued on to her quest. Said if I wanted to I could meet up with her there. 2. Decided to return to the Copper Coronet because I was getting my butt handed to me from time to time; not enough levels and finished the Slaver quest. Thought maybe that might trigger the Nalia quest. But no go, the Nalia estate is still not accessible. 3. So at this moment I am in the Druid's Grove about to end it. * What am I doing wrong?! Whether I had Nalia or not, I couldn't go there. That area won't open up for me. Again, as soon as she joined I attempted it, but I was grayed out. Bizarre :S If you've actually left the city by the city gate (which you must have done to get to trademeet) there is nothing more you need to do.
I guess you could try reverting to an earlier savegame just before she joins or CLUAing to her castle and doing the quests anyway. I think she'll wait forever for you to come and help, so you haven't lose the possibility of doing it yet. |
The problem is that she was with me when we left by the city gates and it was gray the whole time she was with me. And my game is patched. How difficult is it to do a CLUAing?

Not difficult at all:
Locate where you installed the game ( eg. Program files\Interplay\BGII-SoA) and look for the baldur.ini file. Back up this file somewhere else first.Open it with notepad. Find the heading [ Program Option] and type in this command: Debug Mode=1 Save the file and start BG2. Press [Ctrl+SpaceBar] and you should be able to type in a field which appears at the bottom. Type in the following: CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR1300") (exactly as written) It's unlikely you'll spawn where you would have done (the bottom of the screen, towards the right) - you'll probably end up in the corner somewhere. Hopefully the quests should still function as normal though, and once you're there the map might even stop misbehaving... Good luck! [ 10-18-2004, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: shamrock_uk ] |
Did you go THROUGH the gates? As in past the guards and under the wall where you can't see where you're going?
It's a pain in the rear and poorly designed, but it's what we all have to live with. |
Hmmm, I thought I did SoS. Are you saying that you can have that little wheel show up and exit out without having to travel all the way through the gates? Perhaps it did show up, I went forward but before I went all the way through. I'll have the check it out late tonight.
