Ok I'm a little confused. The tansheron bow says that it fires phantom arrows and not to equip normal arrows, or the bow will fire those arrows instead. Ok so far so good. But when I equip +1 arrows, my THAC0 goes from 3 to 1. Why on earth does my thac0 get BETTER when I equip +1 arrows. I thought the bow automatically fired +3 arrows? Thanks!

It is the bow itself that provides the +3 THAC0 bonus, meaning it will apply when using the bow with regular arrows as well. The phantom arrows have no special properties besides their enchantment level, which is not the same thing as THAC0/dmg bonus, though they usually are linked.

What I find strange is that your THAC0 was improved by 2 when you equipped arrows that are only supposed to give a +1 THAC0 bonus.
