Hi all, I am playing a solo totemic druid at the moment, and things are going well I am currently at trademeet about to do some quests, but I was wondering, once I meet something hard to battle will I be able to cope?
I have played through BG2 and TOB once before getting right to the end with a friend via tcp/ip, but we couldnt kill the last boss in TOB with a sorceror and a cleric. My stats are 18's in everything but wisdom, and have a point in staff, scmitar, 2 handed weapons, club I think too. Also if you have any tips for the Solo Totemic Druid that would be greatly appreciated thanks |
You'll hit a plateau at Level 14, but tough it out. And make sure the first feat you pick is the spell Energy Blades.

Take the link in my sig and look at Chapter 6 (and the stat table in Appendix I) to see what the stats do for your character. |
for more try a search on 'solo druid' - there's a nice little bit of stuff there, not least the epic 'chronicles of faldorn'

Thanks for the replies, oh and I was wrong on everything in 18's but wisdom, seems playing a mage at the same time has taken its toll on me hehe, my stats are 14 strength, 3 intelligence and 18 for the other stats.
I just read The Chronicles of Faldorn, a good read I must say :D [ 09-24-2004, 08:28 AM: Message edited by: Snezzeke ] |
Wow, what made you decide to give yourself 3 in intelligence??? I've dropped one stat to maximize another from time-to-time, but that's kind of extreme. Plus, what good is 18 CON to a druid? 16 is basically all you need to maximize your HP. If I wanted to boost stats at the severe expense of one, it'd probably be CHR since there's an item that fixes that problem relatively early in the game (and I find it easier to role-play a horribly disfigured hermit who is at least somewhat intelligent than a complete moron who looks like a super-model)
Which leads to the question, are you role-playing? If so, it will be interesting to hear how you would role-play a solo character with 3 INT (i.e. a person who is quite literally severely mentally retarded and probably cannot put on his own clothing or feed himself). Plus, good luck when you run into the Mind Flayers. Don't get anywhere near them, as your character can only withstand ONE intelligence draining attack. Actually, Neomi. He will have to stay the HELL AWAY from Illithids, because 3 INT means one-hit KO from any Illithid.

Thanks, Dundee. That's what I meant to say. DOH!

I am not really into role playing my stats that I get but I do role play my alignment gender and class, the 18 in constitution I forgot about at the time but it dont matter , and I do realise ilithiads drain intelligence, but they never drained my intelligence when I was there with my cleric, so didnt think it a big deal, if it does become a big deal, arent there potions for intelligence anyway?
Thanks for the constructive criticism though |
