Having always been more of a powergamer than a roleplayer, I have an urge to roleplay a party. And the party I'd like to roleplay would be a "good" party which "gets along".

The idea is to create a party of heroes of renown, something like Drizzt and co. and the important thing is to have party members with a good team dynamic. Not that they don't disagree; Viconia and Jaheira, for example have a good dynamic, although they don't always say "nice" things to one another.

In-game alignments are not as important as the their apparent personalities (Is Viconia really evil?)... I'll use a mod to keep characters from leaving if necessary (does that make sense?)

Thoughts on a good pc class would be nice, too. To fit the role, a class with good leadership skills / wisdom / intelligence. I'd like to create a character who is good but not naive or good in a short-sighted way.

My thoughts have been:

Jaheira
Minsc (bit tired of him...replace if possible)
Mazzy
Viconia
Imoen

but there are a number of others who could contribute. Would definitely consider a modded pc with a realistic personality...

Ifn you want your characters to get along, lose Virconia cos she and Minsc don't get on very well. As a replacement for her, try Anomen or Aerie and ifn your tired of Minsc, they don't get any more good than paladins so try good ol' Keldorn

Viconia doesn't strike me as an overly evil person, but thats probably not saying much because I don't really consider Edwin evil either... just really sarcastic and arrogent. (Something I can appreciate and understand :D )

I've been a longtime advocate of Viconia not being as evil as Neutral Evil. If you're tired of Valygar, maybe you could consider Keldorn. But if you have Keldorn and Viconia, make sure you're either using a mod or romancing Viconia.

As for you, the PC, have you considered cleric/mage? Or perhaps instead of Keldorn, you could pick up Aerie, and you could play paladin.

for all his bluster and muster, Anomen can come across as a heroic figure and that's what he strives to be, so you could pick him up instead of Minsc, although in the end Minsc's fighting capabilites will outweigh Anomen's (cleric buffs do make up for this).

the brief you gave for a PC, i'd definately take a cleric/mage but a paladin would fit for the heroic side of things.
