Okay, so here's the plan...
1) Create a character 2) Do not accept Imoen, Jaheira and Minsc 3) Find a horde of goblins in some random place 4) Kill all but one 5) Ctrl-Q him I've been thinking about it for a while and it sounds kinda fun. Of course, the goblin would be absolutely useless at first, but he gain levels and become awesome, right? Oh, and a couple of questions... 1) Shall I Ctrl-Q a fighter goblin or an archer goblin? 2) What class shall I be? (May depend on the above question) Thanks. |

I'll change his alignment to Lawful Neutral, of course, so he does what I want... hehehe.... Oh, also, does anyone know of some good goblin name generators? |
ctrl+q???
Can someone explain that to me? |
If you enable the CLUA Console (by opening the baldur.ini file and typing in Debug Mode=1 under Program Options... I think) then you have access to some new commands. One of them is Holding your mouse over any creature and pressing Ctrl+Q. This makes them join your party instantly.

ahh.. hilarious! :D .

Okay, I have made a Half-Elf Mage/Cleric. Also, instead of recruiting one goblin, I got two - one archer and one fighter. Hmmm... maybe that would ruin the point of the game, as I intended for a duo, not a trio. Maybe I'll restart.
Anyway, I have a problem: I can't change the goblins' portraits. They're just stuck on the blank faces with question marks. I tried to change them with Shadow Keeper, but I can't find the directory where SK looks up the NPC portraits. |

Why not a dragon companion ??
is it possible ? |
Any creature can join your party, including dragons, but it is not recommended. Their large size prohibits them from fitting in many places or structures, and weird things can happen with that.
