Hi,

Does a weapon exist for backstabbing with a priest/thief ? (dual ou multiclass, whatever) ?

You can use clubs or quarterstaves, but the weapon MUST be one that is usable by a single class thief. For example, a Staff of Striking does awesome damage with a thief's backstab, but a Staff of Curing won't do any extra damage because thieves can't normally use them.

thx !

and why not augment that backstab with the cleric spell 'poison' then 'sanctuary' and walk slowly away ;)

i love the cleric/thief concept and wish there was a fighter/cleric/thief along the same lines as fighter/mager/thef

the cleric is already strong in martial art, that's probably the reason why fighter/cleric/thief isn't available ?

So I guess Sanctuary/Backstab works like Invisibility/Backstab but is it also countered by a True Sight ??

One more question, how do you equip your cleric/thief, and do you have it dual classed or multi classed ?

no - you can't backstab from sanctuary, it just gives you a chance to run away afterwards

i'd multiclass a cleric/thief - you want to keep gaining levels in both and its especially good prospect if you have TOB for the use any item ability

PS - its the attacks per round where you miss the fighter component of the cleric/thief

ok, thx for the info !

and yes, i missed the attack/round differences, you're right. But there're cleric's spells that made the difference

You can not backstab while Sanctuaried.

However...

You CAN hide in the shadows in the middle of a mob while Sanctuaried. Once in the Shadows, tip toe behind something you don't like, and smash the back of their skull in with a staff.

All Clerical buffs apply. DUHM, RM, Bless, etc. Painful damage, strong THAC0, a Cleric / Thief is a subtle but very powerful combo. DUHM alone is like drinking a Potion of Master Theivery.

that's interesting - you mean that you can go into shadows within the sight range of a 'red' enemy? - that's pretty powerful if so - bit mislead-like
