Which is a funnier combo of characters? I have decided to take 3 of these guys along with me, and I need to decide who to drop.

I guess I'm leaning towards dropping Minsc, but that's more for power purposes than personality ones.

Mazzy and Korgan have one of the best banters in the game, merely because there isn't a single other banter quite like it.

Hear"Dalis/Edwina has also a funny conversation. What makes them funny

Jan is great from the banter perspective and useful if you need extra help in the mage or thieving areas, but eventually he just seems somewhat limited. Korgan rocks as a tank, and Mazzy is a fine archer, so if your main character is a mage or cleric, you could benefit from Korgan, Mazzy, and Jan in the party. If you already have a fighter type as the PC, then having both Mazzy and Korgan gets to be a bit tank-heavy.

However, I always find it hard to let Minsc go. Afterall, I had him in my very first party all the way from BG1 to TOB. And think of how sad Boo is when you send him to wait for you at the Copper Coronet, that's no place for a miniature giant space hamster.

I'm currently faced with this exact problem....I can't seem to let Minsc go....Even though i'm extremely tank heavy. The guy needs guidance as much as an ice pack for his head!

Hello,
yes, yes, I've taken Minsc through BG1, BGTSC, BG2, & BG2TOB, but, not for too long this time around. This second time through BG2 I've come to realize that his banter is actually boring, small, repetitive, and somewhat annoying. Sure, he IS a fine caharacter to play, but he honest and truly had suffered too much of a severe head injury before meeting the PC. Do yourself a favor - cut the strings! He'll be happy talking to everyone, eating, drinking, and arm wrestling the days away at the Copper Coronet (a substitute for his Ice Dragon Lodge -sic-). Once I let go, I realized that I still liked him, but that I was, in fact, happy to go forward with someone else; several other good fighters out there.
