I notice you can't export those temporary characters in Candlekeep. I tried cheating Canderous and the main character to a new map, thinking that maybe once he was outside of the practice room it would work, but 'export' was still grayed out for him. How'd ya do it?

A while back, I was amazed to find a 3rd pair of Boots of Stealth. I'd always thought there were only 2 pairs, so I did a Google search for the name of the Dwarf I got them from. That search led me to this page:

The first 2/3 of the site pretty much amounts to a walkthrough of the game, minus the ToSC areas. Then comes the section on Character Creation, and MAN is it in-depth! Analysis of Saving Throws and everything! There's an item list with the CLUA code for each item, a quick list of all the available NPCs, and I mean ALL of them, including the ones in Candlekeep. The section you want to read, Lemernis, is about 4/5 of the way down the page. There's only 3 things I want to add to what Duncan Clay (the guy who wrote the page) had to say about the trick:
1) Whichever Candlekeep NPC you use as your 'anchor' to get to the others will be stripped of all their items. So just hand 'em to someone else.
2) The Candlekeep NPCs do not have voices or personalities. Canderous will never say anything except "Hello there."
3) God DAMN, does Osprey suck!

Wow! That's a neat little guide Thanks for the link!

Thanks much for this Six. I have that URL bookmarked but have never read through the whole thing! It is at this point that I should be milking the game experience for every last point of interest. I think I'll finally give this and the other such files I have a good thorough read-through.

I guess without a soundset and character script those temporary characters in Candlekeep could just as well be player-created characters.
