Help! I am trying to get Aerie's familiar active but when i try and cast the Find Familiar spell i just get some crap about 'this spell can only be cast by the protagonist'! Please can somebody tell me how to get Aerie's Pseudo Dragon active!!!!

That's because only the protagonist can have a familiar. (unless you cheat).

E.G only the PC can have a familiar.

or to be entirely non-technical - only you - that's your character that you rolled can have a familiar - sorry

Aha, thanks all - you have resolved my blonde moment! And arse, the hit points would have come in very handy on my aerie fairy 1 hit point a level character! Never mind!

just keep her out of harms way!

Don't worry about it... Mages rarely have to worry about getting hit. Have everyone cast Stoneskin right before resting and during battle if needed, and Mirror Image right before battles.

and its not worth losing 1 CON point permanently if your familiar gets killed, such as rabbits tend to do when you get mobbed between areas while traveling.

i think they're def worth, its only 1 con point anyways.

Keep it in your bag. Best place for 'em. They're cute though. Neutral familiers have every useful abilities.
