Its probably been done before, but, why not do it again? What was your favourite party. Here's mine.

Rendar Elf Fighter/Mage Uses the Equiliser
Korgan Dwarf Fighter (Beserker) Uses Battle Axe +3
Valygar Human Ranger (Stalker) Uses the Impaler
Imoen Human Thief/Mage Uses crossbow +3
Nalia Human Thief/Mage Uses that bow from d'arnise hold
Viconia Elf Cleric Uses Sling of Seeking

These guys had no trouble defeating Irenicus.

In TOB I switched Valygar for Solaufien

well its always fun to say what your fafourites are...Igot the nexts ones :

Me - Sorcerer or Kensai or Assisan or with darkest day samurai - weapon can be anything that fits...only samurai my wapens are simitars or katana's

Edwin- wizard..If u just see his spell bonusses plus items that grant extra spells etc. and as weapon MMM or staff of fire.

Minsc - with silver blade or sword of chaos in the beginning...I choose always to 2 weapon style in the mid game...

Jaheira- with gnasher and with a scimitar of the djinni's and in the later game ofcourse the woodland staff..

Anomen- Anomen in any way with cromfeayr and flail of ages:D

Hear'Dalis- Equalizer and another sword...

Many two handed guys eh?...well course its not my standart...I have no thief for instance so somethimes I'll take Imoen (cant stand that I should leave here alone in spellhold)or Keldorn for minsc...or mazzy for jaheira and train her to a halberd-fighter. Well can keep going on...

umm... Mazzy the HALFLING? about 1/4 the size of a halberd? I wouldn't do it because it doesn't fit RP wise, but it's your game.

My fav party is Keldorn (until I release him to stay with his family) Then Nalia, or Imoen depending on where I'm at in the game.
My paladin
Aerie
Anomen
Jan Jansen
Minsc (Valygar makes an excellent substitue, but just isn't as much fun)

I always like to have some "theme" to my party.

My original BGII party was very good. It was made up of:

Cerek - Wizard Slayer/Thief
Mins - dual wielding Crom Fraeyr and a 2nd Hammer of T-bolts
Keldorn - wielding his Holy Avenger, of course
Imoen - Staff of Magi
Jaheira - Gave her various scimitars and staves throughout the game. Didn't use Gnasher very much.

My current party is evil and consists of:
Kelric Val'Caern - Assassin
Viconia
Korgan
Edwin - he definitely gets the best number of spells in the game.
Yoshimo
Jaheira

I have plans for a another party I plan to start soon that will consist entirely of demi-humans:

Ethan Hunter - halfling bounty hunter
Jaheira
Mazzy
Haer'Dalis
Aerie

I would love to have Korgan as my tank - and I may take him for awhile, but he and Aerie don't get along. I do have a Mod that eliminates party members leaving over alignment conflicts, but that doesn't really fit the RP aspect of the game. I also like Viconia - and my halfling is CN, so he has no problem with evil alignments - but Jaheira and Aerie should provide all the healing we need.

I have a real conflict between choosing Korgan or Aerie. Korgan is arguably the best tank in the game (with Minsc being a close second, IMO), but if I'm sticking to the them of demi-humans, then Aerie is the ONLY option I have for mage spells. And I think Jaheira, Haer'Dalis and Mazzy should be able to handle any melee that comes our way.

So, those are some of my favorite parties. I've also created a female Undead Hunter named Buffy Van Helsing (lol - it doesn't get much cornier than that). She will be a perfect match for Anomen, because she will be just as snobbish and obnoxious as he is. They should get along great. ;)

hm mazzy with a halbert is a funny sight:P...though I played a long time ago with her...
Ive now decided to play with characters I played with rarely

IranicuS 06-29-2004 01:33 PM

I somethimes also play with Drizzt (some NPC M0d) of him...though of course he doesn't say much

krunchyfrogg 06-29-2004 05:16 PM

Anytime I pick up Mazzy, I stick her with a Halberd. I love the way it looks!

Anyway, here's my favorite party:

Krunchy the Berserker (13)/ Cleric
Jaheira
Minsc
Imoen

IronDragon 06-29-2004 11:10 PM

I have two favorite parties:

The basic good guy party:
PC-Paladin wielding Holy Avenger (what else?)
Jaheira - bone club/gnasher and shield of Harmony
Nalia – staff of the Magi and Robe of Vecna
Valygar - dual wielding Celestial Fury and Daystar
Anomen - dual wielding Flail of Ages and Crom Faeyr
Yoshimo ( traded for Imoen at Spellhold) with a variety of short bows

My other favorite party was an experiment I started cause I was bored one day. I made a party of the characters I never took along:
Cernd – he really is useful, just dull as dirt
Jan – I don’t understand why anyone would want Jan along, he is annoying and dies a lot.
Aerie – Aeirie dies a lot as well but usually because my PC kills here for whining to much
Mazzy – strangely enough she always ends up wielding halberds when I take her as well. What is it about a halfling with a giant weapon?
Haer’Dalis – he usually makes Jan look good
PC – usually a ranger cleric with this group but I have also had good success with a monk here

IranicuS 06-30-2004 08:23 AM

hahah I see I am not the only halbert-mazzy:P...and I agree with Irondragon about Jan

JrKASperov 06-30-2004 08:27 AM

My first parté:
Kellindil Elven fighter/thief
Imoen
Keldorn
Jaheira
a mystery fifth character whom I cannot remember...
