1. Negative Plane Protection lasts for about 4 rounds, so if you're looking for good spells, my answer would have to be No.
2. Sorcerer's Place has "Inishiro's Better-Looking Robe of Vecna," which is a collection of 3 items: Place 1 of them in your Override folder, depending on whether you want the Robe to be red, black, or blue. (I think that's how it works...)
3. I don't think so. Download IEEP from TeamBG.net and learn how to edit items, it's easy.
4. Do the Unseeing Eye quest and pray you don't have the most recent Tactics installed.

q.#1 - When I don't want to be level drained and it's coming via touch or hit(which most do) the best spell from the mage end of things would be protection from magic weapons, but like Negative Plane Prot that only lasts for four rounds so take your pick.

Best protection from level drain: Amulet of Power. It has a permanent negative plain protection while you are wearing it (i.e no level drain). I'll not tell you where you can find it, but if you are a mage you can wear it, and it also has some other nice effects.

Just a quick question on the amulet of power, can you obtain it by taking the evil path?

Also, a certain upgraded mace provides protection from level drain.
