Is there a patch which will allow a gnome to find luuurrrrrrv? Also, is there a patch to play the game with all characters as NPCs (no 'PC')?

Yes.

You can make your own PCs anyway and just decline offers from any NPCs who offer.

I imagine you could use Ctrl-K to kick out the PC and recruit more NPCs... though I'd imagine that might create problems.

And yes, I believe it's Ease of Use that fixes romances like that.

Regarding Gnomes finding love, Gnomes can romance Aerie. Unfortunatly that is the only bioware NPC gnomes can romance. As already mentioned I believe the ease of use mod will allow Gnomes to romance any of the bioware NPC's they desire.

I do not think its possible to play with a whole party of NPC's as the story quite heavily relies on you being a Bhaalspawn, and (except for Imoen) none of the party are BhaalSpawn. So without you there is no story.

So I would immagine that the answer is no.

Yes, they can romance Aerie without a patch.
