How do you heal the mage trapped in the iorn sphere. I keep ending up having to fight him. He's no help: "uhhhh". Anyone know what to do? I know that he can be healed because my journal mentions it. Help? Anyone?

What mage? Can you be more accurate of your location?

Second of all, I know the mage you're talking about... It seems like you should be able to help him, but I've never heard of a way to do so. This isn't to say it can't be done... Perhaps someone else knows more.

(Xen, it's the one you free and he goes "Uhhhhhh?" and you can ask him if he's alright or threaten him or whatever you do it doesn't matter becaus he goes "Guuhhhhhhh" or something like that, and attacks you. But your journal says something like "Perhaps he might have recovered if he had more time")

No, that's the imprisoned mage that you bring back with a freedom scroll. This guy is trapped in that dome where a bunch of guys can be freed.

I've never been able to do anything with him either. Maybe it's another one of those unfinished parts of SOA.

I think people have reported being able to charm him and send him away so that they don't have to kill him, but I don't think it makes much difference what you do.

If you're fast, or cast it before you talk with him, a Heal spell (priest spell) is supposed to cure him. Not a cure wounds spell, but Heal. It's level 6 or 7.

Sounds like your only chance at it is to have Aerie (or a protagonist mage/cleric) wearing the Robe of Vecna and the Amulet of Power.

Yep, a heal spell works wonders. I found summoning a planater and letting it cast heal because he cannot hurt it. Only trouble is trying to get the planater to stop attacking long enough...

Or, try to immobilise him first, then the heal spell will cure him anyways.
