I tried to reinstall Bg2 today, and unfortunately came into a little problem... for some reason the computer still thinks that bg2 is installed on my hard drive, so whenever i run the instal program it asks me if i want to uninstall... which i have already done... I uninstalled it some time ago and may have deleted the folder instead of running the uninstall program... dont know why i would have done this but it may have tickled my fancy at the time ... anyway, any help would be much appreciated i keep having bg2 cravings but they just arent getting fulfilled ;)

When it asks you to uninstall. Say YES. And it will uninstall, then you can install.

lol..... thats the whole problem ;) theres nothing for it to uninstall... everytime i run the install program it asks me if i want to UNinstall it... even though theres nothing there

Go into regedit and clear out all the information relating to Baldurs gate. Be careful in there, and make a backup before you change anything unless you are certain you know what your doing.

Yeah, but what happens if you press YES when it asks to uninstall?

I think you can also do it by browsing the cd and running setup or install or something cant you?

Mystique, that doesnt work. I cant remember exactly what happens (its been a while ) but I just know it doesnt work, you get some error
