I have created this thread for two reasons.

One of them is to read others' suggestions, so I'll be reading all the replies carefully.

The second reason is that I wish to let others know of the by-far funnest class and way I've played with. Use the All Classes Level 40 Cap(Which allows you to develop to level 40/40/40. You can also use a Cap Remover). Start ToB and create a Fighter/Mage/Thief - yes, with the low experience and not-the-best items. Annnnd that's about it. ToB offers gameplay perfect for solo powergaming, so you'll surely have a blast playing it! The game is difficult but not impossible. Add Ascension and adjust the difficulty bar if you wish.

Thanks for replying.

I think that the sorc is the funnest to play with, if only because at the later levels you can singlehandedly decimate an entire city before anyone can lift a finger to stop you. Granted, I usually reload, but still, knowing what my character is capable of makes it less stressful to deal with pompous nobles and overzealous soldiers.

Go with the Sorcerer. They are fun only if you choose the right spells. If you don`t they can suck as hell. So read some guides or if you aren`t familiar with Magic don`t make them.

I suggest a F/M. They can buff up to gills. Or a C/M. Cleric spells in a Chain Contingency? The best you can get.

So far my only attempt at soloing is with a sorcerer (you know, just had to try it since everyone else seems to be doing it).

And to echo what Illumina said, eventually it just gets ridiculous how powerful you are. I haven't even been to Spellhold yet and my chaotic evil sorcerer is 22nd level, casting Time stop - Improved alacrity - and then whatever he wants. Instant death to all who oppose me (not to mention lots of dead bystanders... oops)

I think partly it has to do with game balancing. Most encounters so early on really weren't meant to involve a 22nd level character, let alone a sorcerer. Well, it's fun for now. We'll see what the Underdark has to offer. Silver dragon scale, methinks.

I have decided to try the Assassin(with the Thief and Bard Modifier and Enchanced Thief Stronghold mods), since that won't get too easy, and the Sorcerer, just to try out how fun he is. I'll do this as soon as I complete ToB with my current party(just finished SoA yesterday).

Thanks!
