How do multiclass HP work? The only multi-classed characters I've ever played were already up to the level where you only gain a fixed amount of XP per level.
|
Divide the experience dice by the number of classes.
e.g. Cleric/Mage. 2 classes. 16 Con. Cleric Level goes up - 1-4HP + 1 Con Bonus Mage level goes up - 1-2HP + 1 Con Bonus Note that the HP dice are actually rounded down. So for the mage level noted above, a 4 on the d4 actually needs to be rolled to get the 2hp. A 1, 2 or 3 on the d4 will only give the character 1hp. |
What about dual-classing? Do you get all of the HP?

Quote:
If you're a level 5 fighter and dual class to a thief, you won't get any HP in thief until you get to level 6. However, you will get the full HP as a thief once you pass your fighter's level. |
