My problem is that Garren never offer to help me to join the radiant heart. I have saved his daughter and i have not killed Firkraag. When i come back to his cabin, he just says that this matter weighed heavily on his shoulders and thanks me for my effort. I play as Cavalier. I have read some walkthrous and done what they say but that didnt work either. I hope someone on this forum can help me.

i tried the same thing when i played cavalier but i couldn't find anything on how to get my stronghold.in the end i just gave up.i m not sure that you can get it.maybe someone has something different to say....

I think you have to kill Firkragg to get the stronghold. I could be wrong, but I did it twice now, and both times I killed Firkragg and got the stronghold just fine.

Yes but you must not kill him before the Order asks you to do so. If you do you don`t get the stronghold.

You will get the Stronghold IF:</font>
  • You are a Paladin</font>
  • You go to the Windspear Hills, get blamed for killing Paladins, and rescue Garren's kid in exchange for his restoring your good name</font>
  • You return to the Order and speak with Wessalen or somebody</font>
  • You run back and forth across Amn doing quests for the Order</font>
Garren himself has nothing to do with your actually joining the Order--he simply clears you of any wrongdoing--but the quest is required in order to make your name bubble to the top of the Prelate's Rolodex.

Killing Firkraag on your first visit has NO EFFECT on your obtaining the Paladin Stronghold. If you do, Garren is simply much more impressed than if you had simply saved his child. If you don't, the quest to do so is simply tacked on as the very last of your deeds required to enter the Order. You get a bit more EXP for not killing him until asked to do so, but that means walking around without Carsomyr for a few more days.

i killed firk in the begining and i was still able to join the knights but i hav a problem with the 3rd quest where u hav to protect that girl. whenever i fight the rogues that com to kill her, she always turns hostile to me even when i havent cast any area of effect spells or any spells and i always kill the rogues before they can get close to her.

Did you tell her to go upstairs?

Korvanik 03-17-2004 12:48 PM

I have tried to talk to Prelate Wasselen after i have saved Garrens daughter but i never get offered to join the order.

I have this problem also. When I go back to the Holy Order or whatever, and I speak to everyone within, they still offer me nothing to do. I completed the Fallen Paladins quest and did not kill Firkraag, but all they say is "someone's blessing upon you", even though I am a solo cavalier.

There is usually confusion between the Prelate and another Paladin in the building. Note that the person who asks you to seek out the Fallen Paladins is not the person you are looking for if you want the stronghold.
