I've found several portraits i would like to use for my BG II party instead of the official potraits (ie another ranger portrait for Minsc).

If i understand correctly, i have to change the size of the portraits to 110x170 size.
But where do i have to copy them, or what do i have to do to override/replace the original portraits? I didn't find any jpg or bmp portraits in my SoA directory (just a file called portrait.biff i can't open in SoA/data directory).

You may be able to use Shadowkeeper for changing portraits. Welcome by the way, to IW.

You need to put your pictures in a /portraits directory in your main bg2 folder (you have to make the directory yourself) Full instructions are here (from Billy Yank's portrait site--see the Forum FAQ for links to many portrait sites)
