My Wizard Slayer can use Health Portions - is it some kind of a bug.I have installed the newest updates of SoA and ToB since then i can use health portions on my WizSlayer without a problem..I'm in Chapert 3 now and I'm considering to start a new game because of this bug..
grr.. is there some way to fix it.. |
i'm hoping i understand your problem . . .
AFAIK Wizard Slayer being unable to use health potions was in the early SoA as a bug which ToB 'fixed' if you don't want your wizard slayer to use health potions just don't . . . and WELCOME TO IRONWORKS! [ 03-12-2004, 08:22 AM: Message edited by: Armen ] |
The wizard slayer was originally not supposed to be able to use magic items other than armor, weapons and shields. The WS was then unable to use any potions, though it was meant to be so that they could use healing potions and antidotes, just not the buff potions and offensive potions. Atleast so Ive heard...

Yep, wizard slayers couldn't use healing potions in SOA but with TOB installed can...
It isn't a bug as bioware want wizard slayers to be able to use potions with TOB installed, I think they felt the class was to weak not being able to use healing potions. |
SoA-only Wizard Slayers can only use Restoration scrolls, Resurrection rods (I think), and green (cleric) protection scrolls. Wizard Slayers with ToB installed can use those items, plus healing potions, antidoes, and one other potion (can't remember what it is ATM), and can use them in both SoA and ToB areas.
I wouldn't know. My Wizard Slayers think potions are for sissies. :D |
10x for the information
i thought it's a bug.Hence forth i will use healing potions without questioning my moral understanding of the game 10x again PS: Halfling Wizard Slayer ownzz |

with a dwarven WZ it's too damn easy besides halfling specialized in Katanas looks pretty nice i don't like the so called powerplay |
Hmmm.... From a roleplaying perspective, an axe-wielding dwarf is more valid than a katana-wielding halfling, no? And dwarves, in general, never did trust arcane magic.
From a roleplaying perspective, the axe-using dwarven wizard slayer is not only valid... I'll go so far as to say it's borderline cliche. (If you want powerplay, try playing a sorc.) Not to criticize or anything... I bet a halfling with a katana would have a distinct advantage over his/her foes: "Hey there, short stuff... What is THAT? Oh, you're kidding me, right? The shrimp's sword is as big as he is! Ha HAH! What're you gonna do with that? Cut my purse strings?!" ::SLICE SWOOSH STAB STAB STAB:: ::THUD:: |
