Hello! My second post ever here.

http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/rollsay.gif Myself and my home team, have been working hard on some Custom Soundsets for BG2. There are 5 characters with portraits and sounds packaged in .zip folders: 2 from movies, 1 from TV, and 2 are famous musicians.

What is the best hosting site for BG2 soundsets? I'm wondering if there is a preferred site where I can upload my soundsets to share with everyone. I'm thinking Sorcerers.net, but I'm asking here for other suggestions.

These are not full mods or NPC's, just custom files anyone can use for portraits and sounds. Thanks for any replies y'all!

EDIT Scratch that, they don't actually host any it looks like. You could always try www.3ddownloads.com

What size are they in total?

In total maybe 70MB. It would be 3 .zip files, of 10-30MB each.

I'm not looking for an online storage site, as much as I'm wanting to put my sound files in the Internet's most popular and exhaustive collection of BG2 soundsets. I figure some site out there is the expert soundset horde. I've seen a few sites, but many hadn't been updated since 2001/2002, so I'm wondering what the current favorite would be.

Fileplanet has a collection but they're a pain and I don't know if they take new BG2 uploads anyway. At Sorcerers.net I see they add such files and update the BG2 sections to this day - drawback is I get hit with a lot of pop-ups on their site. Their soundset section is: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors6.htm

My sounds are more like the common ones on Sorcerers - sampled from popular culture. Rather than, say, VoxPopuli site which is voice-acted by the producers of the soundsets. I'm looking for a heady site like forgottenwars.net, but one that takes fan-uploads for soundset submissions.

I've been working on a project since January, and you've finally given me the push to publish.

Icelus (of Forgotten Wars fame) gave me some webspace for custom soundsets. I'm playing around with sounds and balancing several other projects at the moment, so I don't know how updated it will be. But it's sponsored by Forgotten Wars, so it'll get SOME traffic at least. And I'd be happy to host your sounds with mine.

Whoohoo! Pirengle I like your transgendered Damiar soundset. Good work. Look forward to hearing your other characters when you can get them prepped for upload. I'm going to check out your Capt. Kirk, that is more the style of my soundsets (movies, singers). You're inspiring me to do some original voiced ones though! I've got a mic. I also liked your completist ReadMe files. Mine are similar but I put less info about the production process and more about the characters represented. Might opt to borrow some text from yours. Well, you seem like someone of good humor, so I hope you wouldn't mind hosting my soundsets? How can I get them to you, as they are too large to email? I can upload to an FTP site if available.

I'm having problems with firewalls and connections at the moment, but I'd love to host them. Let me go see what I can do about this.

Yes, please post when ready or, does this forum have private messaging? I spent a lil' more time on it today, and have my files just about ready to go. (FWIW, I've been having a bit of connex probs too but seems to be fixed since I shut down and restarted my router & modem). Thanks for your site and hosting offer Pire.

Ha, seems my own soundsets sre still available as well at Sorcerer's place... Had almost forgotten I even made those of Stewie, Bender and Zap Brannigan, must have been 3 years ago now.
