Why isnt there such a spell? If there is Laroch's minor drain shouldnt there also be a normal version of it at higher levels?

Not necessarily.
The name only states that it is a "Minor" Drain as opposed to "Major" Drains which exist with some creatures or some items.
And as it was invented by Larloch it bears this name too.
Although I'm still searching for "Melf's Second Meteors" and "Abu Dhalzim's Pleasant Wilting" ;)

That would be "Melf's Gargantuan Meteors" as Minute in the case of the meteors means a measure of size and not time. ;) As for Abi Dalzim's Pleasant Wilting, I have a feeling the mage waved his hands around for a few rounds then cut the cheddar. Pleasant wilting, yeah. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
