For a while i have wanted to start a new game but loose interest within a few hours of starting. I was thinking about a new char. when i uncovered a PnP roleplaying character i rolled but the group never really got going. I was an elf and some kind of small scale merchant (rolled from a list of classes under the cleric occupation(?)). However, i was curious about what class, alignment etc. a merchant would come under in bg2?

So far i am considering either a multi or a dual class character, possibly nuetral evil.

I want a char. who i can roleplay as a trevelling merchant. Therefore, before i start i would like some insight into the chances of creating such a character in bg2 and does it have any potential?

Hmm...well as you cant get a merchant class in bg2 you can try a theif, or a theif/cleric? since theives are the closest to the merchant class. or you an always go with other combinations fighter/theif mage/theif.

Hope this helps.

You can try playing a cleric of Waukeen. There's no cleric class that I know of, but this is a roleplaying game, right? ;) Try making a cleric without a kit, then using SK to give the cleric some abilities. I think one with the Waukeenar would have high lore, high charisma, and item creation abilities. (Two of the ToB HLAs would do nicely here.)

I don't have sk, where is it and what can it do?
Also, is it a large progamme/file?

It's the BG2 editor ;) . You can do just about anything with it except edit/add new stuff, which can be done with IEEP (Infinity Engine Something Something )
